Meet Our Pastor

The Rev. Timothy Holton-Overcast

The Rev. Timothy Holton-Overcast serves as pastor of Caney Spring United Methodist Church. He is passionate about helping people discover God's grace, ask meaningful questions, and connect faith with everyday life.

Timothy believes the church is called to be a place of welcome, belonging, and transformation, where people can grow in their relationship with God and one another. His ministry is grounded in the Wesleyan tradition and shaped by a commitment to compassion, justice, and authentic community.

Whether preaching on Sunday morning, serving as a prison chaplain, or serving the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference, Timothy seeks to embody Christ's love and invite others into the journey of faith.

Before entering pastoral ministry, Timothy spent more than twenty years working in healthcare and biopharmaceutical research and development. He now serves in a variety of ministry settings, including congregational ministry, prison chaplaincy, and community engagement.

Timothy and his husband, Jim (who is also a United Methodist Pastor), share a love for faith, hospitality, the outdoors, and caring for their animals. When he isn't preparing sermons or serving in ministry, he enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
